What kind of contract you use is up to you and your supplier to decide.  You might use one that’s short and simple – or one that’s long and detailed.  You might get lawyers involved – or just draft a contract based on a generic fill-in-the-blank template.  It all depends on the scope of your deal and your budget.  But you should know that even the best contract won’t necessarily guarantee your supplier will deliver quality products on time.  That still depends on finding a good honest supplier.
