OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)

While suppliers cannot sell brand-name products without explicit authorization, the sale of OEM or OEM-quality parts is allowed.

However, you should always be careful when buying products advertised as OEM because (a) they may be factory rejects (so technically OEM) and (b) they may be low-quality replacement parts that fail quickly. Suppliers know famous brand names attract buyers, so some suppliers just piggyback off of these brand names. But actually, they’re just selling junk marketed under a well-known trademark.

So if you’re looking to buy OEM parts, as always, carefully inspect the products before handing over your money.
